Entering into it’s 43rd year, the Kalihi-Palama Culture & Arts Society, Inc. is proud to present their Annual Queen Lili’uokalani Keiki Hula Competition, a festival to honor Hawai’i’s last reigning monarch, Queen Lili’uokalani. This competition was established in 1976 to provide a venue for children ages 5-12 to showcase their achievements in ancient and modern hula. Four hundred youngsters will represent over twenty five halau from Oahu, Maui, Kauai, Hawaii Island, and Japan.
