WOW! What a @#$^& Awesome Hawaii Five-0 episode last night. Between lots of local actors (like Cary, Al, Mark, Augie and more...who played Koji?) and the fact they were playing golf at a beautiful hole at the "Kaimuki Country Club" (I had calls asking about membership and tee times); it was by far the BEST H50 episode yet. Getting McG's sis back was kinda easy, but the rest kept you guessing and on your toes. Who knew Pipeline Cafe was a Yakuza hangout? LOL
Jake Shimabukuro will be introduced today as the new spokesperson for Farmer's Insurance Hawaii at 12noon, Restaurant Row. Jake hooks up with a HUGE company looking to endear itself into the community. Farmers hooks up with a hard working, constantly touring artist who has shaped his own destiny by what he does and how he does it. There is no doubt he is amongst the greatest of ukulele players. But his ability to reach out and touch people with his music, and his ability to make his instrument sing are what sets him apart. He is like a child; he is so transparaent in letting people see his soul, and he so openly shares that with whomever allows. But also a mature individual that takes his craft seriously and under stands the responsibility he has being a celebrity and role model. A unique combination of traits that perhaps we can all learn from. This all comes at the same time he releases his new CD called "Peace Love Ukulele". It's going to be an awesome time today before he heads to Texas and the East Coast.
Countdown: 26 days till NFL Pro Bowl at Aloha Stadium.
