YouÊ»ve got pictures of things you are passionate about.  You want to organize them, and make them available so others that share your interest could view them as well.  As you see other pictures about that interest, you could click a link and automatically have that picture added to all the others you have about that subject.  Others that are interested in the same thing start to share each others pictures, and pretty soon you have a unique social network going.  This is what Pinterest is all about.

 Pinterest peaked a lot of peopleÊ»s interest when it started at the beginning of the year.  Pinterest was a way for people to share pictures that they cared about.  They could share  Could the social media craze of 2012 be losing steam? Pinterest had crazy growth in January and February but is unexpectedly losing users this month. It seems monthly active users are down from 11.15 million on April 1 to 8.3 million today. Time to hit the panic button? Hardly. It's speculated that the meteoric rise in growth were from people just curious to try it out for a couple days. The core audience, women, are still very passionate about the site.

Fact: Pinterest is now the third most popular social networking site behind Facebook and Twitter.
