AI David Archuleta

I'll blog this one later, but wanted to get it out of my head while it's still fresh...
David Archuleta sang our National Anthem prior to the start of the 2009 NFL Pro Bowl. Most celebities I've met had to have things a certain way. Lots of lights, they're people constantly around, not willing to talk to anyone. I acknowledge this only because I can see things from their point of view. You never know which one is going to be the wacko one.
With David Archuleta on American Idol, the media was very successful as portraying David as the innocent and shy, yet very open minded individual that could take on the world on his innocence alone. You also felt like this was too good to be true in a young individual. Especially coming out of a show like American Idol.
David proved me wrong altogether. He showed me that those with the amount of exposure he earned, talented as he is, you can still be humble, open, gracious as he was. I overheard conversation he was having with members of his family and handlers that were with him. Nothing but good things to say. Gracious to those who came up to him that he did not know. Was very genuine in his overflowing praise for Hawaii and the people that he met. I was impressed by his conversation, observation and his ability to just take in and enjoy the moments of his being where he was, amongst footballs' best players at Aloha Stadium. I was impressed by this young artist and individual.
It also reminds me that no matter how famous, you have to be thankful for those that appreciate your talents. I was introduced to David as the person who introduced him in stadium and on national tv for the National Anthem. He seemed genuinely glad to meet me as I was him. He asked ME to take a picture with him (which totally surprised me); it was hard for me to contain as I stood with the huge smile on my face. I was about to start for the halftime show, so I couldn't say anymore, but it was nice to see talent, humility, personality and a whole bunch of very positive adjectives to describe a wonderful individual. Very often I'm not impressed by much. I was impressed and humbled on Pro Bowl Sunday.
I look forward to buying his next music release, just because I want to support good people when you meet them....and to me: David Archuleta is good people.
